Doha’s iconic Lusail Boulevard was the setting for Qatar Airways’ ceremony to announce its new 5-year partnership with Formula 1™. At a special evening event, this partnership was officially inaugurated by H.E. The Minister of Sports and Youth, Mr. Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, along with QMMF President, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Mannai; Formula 1™ President and CEO, Stefano Domenicali; and MotoGP CEO, Carmelo Ezpeleta. 

The event has featured a host of thrilling car and bike performances – by Qatari champion driver, Nasser Al Attiyah, as well as David Coulthard, Dani Pedrosa, Abdo Feghali and others, together with a display of Red Bull’s racing vehicles. Spectators were also treated to a dazzling concert by the world-renowned artist, Akon.
