The meeting brought together Qatari Diar’s top management and employees to celebrate the company’s achievements on the domestic and international level amid the completion of the first phase of an ambitious five-year business plan launched in 2014.

During the meeting, Qatari Diar’s top management highlighted the challenges and opportunities lying ahead and discussed future objectives in line with the five-year business plan that was launched in an internal campaign with the slogan of “Let’s Make the Next 5 Years Count” continued this year under the title “Let’s Work 4 it!”

The meeting offered staff members the opportunity to inquire into Qatari Diar’ future projects and internal training programs.

In his keynote speech to staff members, H.E Mr Ali Sharif Al Emadi highlighted Qatari Diar’s achievements and praised employees for their contribution to the company’s success.

“I’m pleased to join you today to highlight our accomplishment both locally and abroad. I’m also proud of Qatari Diar’s employees who thanks to their commitment and dedication have contributed to our success beyond expectations and I’m confident that our company will continue to excel,” he said.

For his part, Mr. Khaled Al Sayed said the meeting presented an opportunity for Qatari Diar employees to interact with top management and discuss upcoming projects.

“Qatari Diar’s management believes in the importance of celebrating its accomplishments with its employees because those achievements wouldn’t have materialized if it weren’t for our staff,” Al Sayed said.

“We have achieved many of the objectives outlined by the board of directors and we will continue our journey with the same enthusiasm to achieve our remaining goals, and particularly enhancing our human capital through world-class training sessions and workshops,” Sayed added.

During the ceremony, Qatari Diar recognized 39 employees who were presented with the Group CEO Award for outstanding performance.

The annual meeting was also viewed by employees based in the international offices of Qatari Diar through live video streaming.

Qatari Diar celebrated the completion and delivery of the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, which represents another addition to the company’s landmark projects.

The center, which is connected through a tunnel to the Sheraton Park, provides access to the Doha Corniche and covers an area of 90,000 square meters including a multipurpose hall and a parking, accommodating 5,000 cars.

Qatari Diar also awarded four infrastructure projects at Lusail Plaza and Business Centre districts, worth 6.34 billion Qatari riyal and delivered the first phase of the Qetaifan Islands.

In the first quarter of 2015, the company obtained licenses for the development of 69 buildings within Lusail City.
