Qatari Diar and Kahramma sign MoU to set up 10 electric vehicle charging stations in Lusail City

Qatari Diar and General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up 10 fastcharging stations for electric cars in Lusail City. 
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of the HE the Minister of Transport and Communications  Jassim bin Saif Al-Sulaiti. 
The MoU signed by Kahramaa President, Eng. Essa bin Hilal Al-Kuwari and CEO of Qatari Diar, Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad Al -Attiyah. 
HE Al-Sulaiti: The signing of this memorandum is part of the Ministry's strategic plans in cooperation with Kahramaa to establish a network of electric vehicle charging stations, where 30 stations will be installed and operated during the current year and 100 next year. 
HE Eng. Issa Bin Hilal Al-Kuwari: In Kahramaa, and in line with the Qatar Vision 2030, we seek to provide a healthy and safe environment for our future generation by promoting sustainability. I thank Qatari Diar for this initiative. 
Eng. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah: We are happy to sign this MoU as a continuation of cooperation between the company, Kahramaa and all government institutions. Qatari Diar is pleased to participate in providing sustainable energy sources and controlling emissions within Lusail. 
Eng. Yousef Al-Musleh, Chief of Development and Asset Management at QD: Using 50Kw devices that comply with international safety standards, the stations will fast charge cars by 80% within 30 minutes. This will improve emission control within Lusail City and save transport costs in general.​
